Ordained 29 June 2015, in Brisbane.
Fr Nwadike in- tended to study law when the in u- ence of seminarian
friends inspired him to try out the seminary. He commenced his studies in Nigeria and moved to Brisbane’s Holy Spirit Provincial Seminary in 2011. Archbishop Coleridge has ap- pointed him assistant priest in the parish of Redcliffe.

Fr Pio Yong Ho Jang
Ordained 24 June, in Parramatta.
Fr Jang was born and raised in South Korea, migrating with his family to
Australia when he was 20. Bishop Mc- Guckin of Toowoomba, previously vic- ar-general of the Parramatta diocese, returned to Parramatta to minister this year’s ordinations. Fr Jang has been appointed assistant priest in St Michael’s parish, Baulkham Hills.
Fr Francis Denton
Ordained 27 June, in Melbourne.
Fr Denton com- pleted a Bachelor of Arts before join- ing Melbourne’s
Corpus Christi College in 2007. His older brother Anthony is also a priest of the Archdiocese, and was in fact vocations director at the time of Fran- cis’ application. The younger Fr Den- ton is presently assistant priest at Our Lady’s, Craigieburn.
Fr Ian Wilson
Ordained 18 July 2015, in Adelaide.
Fr Wilson was ac- companied by his wife Nan on the oc- casion of his priest-
ly ordination. She presented the stole and chasuble to Fr Paul Cashen, who vested the Anglican Ordinariate’s newest priest. Fr Wilson will continue as moderator of the Ordinariate com- munity of Bl John Henry Newman in the Adelaide Archdiocese.
Fr John-Paul Mount
Ordained 27 June, in Melbourne.
Fr Mount discerned a priestly vocation during his univer- sity years, and hav-
ing completed studies in English and philosophy, and obtaining quali ca- tions as a secondary school teacher, he joined Melbourne’s Corpus Christi College in 2007. Archbishop Hart has appointed him assistant priest at St Anthony’s, Melton South.
Fr Thomas Thien Hien Bui
Ordained 24 June, in Parramatta.
Fr Bui was born and raised in Vietnam, joining Hue’s dioc- esan seminary in
2007, and transferring to Parramat- ta’s Holy Spirit Seminary in 2010. His brother, Fr Jerome Thien Thao Bui OP, a Dominican friar, travelled from France to attend his ordination. He is now assistant priest at Holy Trinity Parish, Granville.
FR Dominic Orih
Ordained 25 July 2015, in Umuahia.
Fr Orih was twelve when he entered the minor seminary of his home diocese
in Nigeria. He studied philosophy in Rome before his 2011 move to Bris- bane’s Holy Spirit Provincial Semi- nary. He returned to Brisbane on 3 September and will serve as assistant priest at Our Lady of Lourdes, Sunny- bank, for the next three years.
Fr Paul Eloagu
Ordained 29 June 2015, in Brisbane.
Fr Eloagu was six when he assumed his adoptive fam- ily’s Catholic faith.
In high school he discerned a priestly vocation, encouraged by his princi- pal’s priestly example. He joined a seminary in his native Nigeria before moving to Brisbane’s Holy Spirit Pro- vincial Seminary in 2011. He is now assistant priest at Surfers Paradise.
Fr Charles Balnaves
Ordained 27 June, in Melbourne.
Fr Balnaves was born in England, migrating to Aus- tralia with his fam-
ily in 1956. He and his wife of 37 years, Tanya (d. 2012), have two boys. In 2009 he started formation for the permanent diaconate in 2009,a n d he was ordained deacon in 2012. He is now Assistant Priest at St Dominic’s Melton.
Fr Jeffey Casabuena
Ordained 1 August 2015, in Perth.
Fr Casabuena spent many years study- ing in the Philip- pines, drawn to
the world of academia. Ultimately, though, he responded to the priestly calling, inspired by Perth’s Fr Robert Carrillo, who often visited the Philip- pines. Archbishop Costelloe has ap- pointed Fr Casabuena assistant priest at St Mary’s Cathedral in Perth.
